So, I went to Sri Lanka, ostensibly, to gather material for some fiction I’m hoping to write. But while I was in Sri Lanka I became distracted by the troubling political situation and, before long, found myself interviewing all sorts of people and generally carrying on like a journalist.
In fact, I ended up writing a very sober op-ed column for The Seattle Times. The article was also reprinted in numerous venues in Sri Lanka, including: The Sunday Leader, Sri Lanka Guardian, Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka, TamilNet, and others.
